Privacy

The conversion engine runs in a browser worker. Your audio is not uploaded to Zevian.

Limitations

Browser conversion is slower than native software, especially on mobile devices. Unsupported codecs and protected files cannot be converted.

Is my recording uploaded?

No. The browser conversion engine processes it locally.

Why does the engine take time to load?

The conversion engine is downloaded only when needed so other Zevian pages stay lightweight.

Does conversion preserve tags?

Metadata and embedded artwork are not guaranteed to survive re-encoding.
